Knee pain is common and can present itself in two different ways, acute or chronic knee pain. Many people experience acute knee pain as a result of an injury due to a favorite sport or activity or as the result of an accident. However, chronic knee pain rarely goes away without treatment and it is usually caused by more than one incident.

Certain physical conditions or diseases can cause knee pain. These include osteoarthritis, tendinitis, bursitis, meniscal tear, and a tear in one of the four ligaments of the knee.

Factors that may make chronic knee pain much worse include sprains and strains, overuse, bad posture and form when doing physical activities, not warming up or cooling down before or after physical activity, and improperly stretching the muscles of the knee.

Chiropractic helps restore proper range of motion to the knee and helps relieve pain from these conditions through adjustments, soft tissue mobilization, rehabilitation exercises and therapies, and the use of Kinesio Tape. A detailed examination of the knee is performed to develop a treatment plan based on the condition you are affected by.
