This workshop will briefly review Part I and go on to examine traumas to the body that athletes commonly experience. Topics such as inflammation, free radicals, antioxidants, and the phases of healing following an injury will be discussed. Muscle soreness after exercise is a common athletic complaint. A review of the various theories as to why muscle soreness occurs and ways you can diminish its effects will be explained.
